Dora Maar au Chat (Dora Maar with cat) is Pablo Picasso’s one of the most famous and expensive paintings. It represents one of his lovers, Dora Maar who helped him in many other paintings as a model. She is also the only one who documented Picasso’s monumental work Guernica. She is depicted here as posing like a goddess sitting on a throne. She also wears a plumed hat on her head. A little cat, which is almost invisible if the title of the painting doesn’t draw our attention to it, is standing on the right shoulder of the lady.
