Painting Hierarchy or the Hierarchy of Genres are the six main types of painting:
1. History Painting
2. Portrait Painting
3. Genre Painting
4. Landscape Painting
5. Animal Painting
6. Still Life Painting
Most of the paintings falls in one or more of these categories and are defined, interpreted accordingly.
Recently sold for around $179.3 million in an auction held by Christie’s, making it the most expensive painting by Pablo Picasso and also a record price for a painting at any auction. It is the final painting in a painting series called ‘Les Femmes d’Alger‘ which consists 15 paintings in total. This is the ‘Version O’ painting.

The hospital that Van Gogh was at is located on the edge of the village at the very top, probably to be secluded somewhat from the rest of the village below.
