Jean Urbain Guerin was French miniature painter lived from 1760 to 1836 with highly qualifying artistic abilities. Here, in this miniature painting sized around 9.8 cm x 8.10 cm, he has depicted a bewitchingly beautiful lady in white dress. It was produced in 1805. The unknown lady’s supple posture and the heart-shaped pendant suggest the love towards the miniature is addressed. The round shaped golden bezel and the lady’s clothes suggest the patrons were from aristocratic circles of the time.
