This oil-on-panel painting shows some animals drinking from a stream and eating grass from the land. The herdsman could be seen in the far background under the shadows of the trees. The massive trees are a prominent part of the portrait showing the scene is from a grove. In the scene, we can see all the elements of Mother Nature as they were, before mankind ‘progressed’ and cut off those beautiful trees.
