The scene depicts the 2000 years old monumental building Pantheon, the Fontanta del Pantheon (Fountain of the Pantheon) and the Piazza della Rotonda, the square in front of the Pantheon. The square got its name from the informal name of the Pantheon called as Santa Maria Rotonda. The whole place is heavily influenced by the pantheon, which has been used as a place for different needs throughout its around 2000 year old lifetime. It was built as a sacred place for god – a Roman temple, then in renaissance it became a tomb for the big names like Raphael and Annibale Carricci.
