Anders Zorn was a well-known personality in late 19th and early 20th century. He was an adroit painter portraying the wide-range of portraits, landscapes and genre-paintings. Here is represented a portrait of his wife Emma Zorn with a little dog named Mouche. It was a regular story of love-at-first-site in the city of Stockholm, Sweden. Emma happened to be baby-sitting Anders’ nephew while he was portraying him. That’s the point when they first met each-other and fell for. After four years’ secret relationship, they succeed to convince Emma’s parents in 1885 and married.  Emma didn’t have the knowledge of cookery but her skill of organization helped Anders with his clients, exhibitors, museums and publishers. A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte is a fine example of Georges Seurat’s pointillism. Painting took him two years to complete and during the first year he didn’t included the pointillism in the art work. He made the painting on the island of La Grande Jatte near Paris. Pointillism The painting is depicted in the style of pointillism which was called divisionism at the time of the execution. Lady with an Ermine is one of the four ladies painted by Leonardo, other three being Mona Lisa, La belle ferronnière and Ginevra de’ Benci. The Lady with an Ermine has segments of Pentimento as by radiography. A window has been detected on the upper right side, which was deleted later on by the artist. The painting consist some work called “Moti Mentali” meaning mental emotions. The term was mostly referred to Leonardo’s work and means the artist’s ability to depict the real mental thoughts, emotions and disposition of the subject on his/her face.
