This calm, serene and restful painting of a river landscape is a perfect destination for a peace and nature lover to live in. on the term that you would have to be skilled in breeding cattle and sheep. That remains as your only way of earning out there. On the left there is a little yard telling us that the animals are the possession of a herdsman living there. In the series of depicting the port of Bacino de San Marco by the artist this is another fine depiction of the historically important place. The scene includes the monumental buildings like the Clock Tower of the St. Mark’s Square on the right side being the highest structure in the landscape. Right before it, the building is called Doge’s palace which was built by the Doge of Venice, the ultimate authority of the Venetian government. Iconic landscape of Venice, at the evening time, has been depicted by Felix Ziem the French artist. It is among his around 5 versions of the quai des Esclavons, means Dock of Esclvaons. This dock has been used for centuries for overseas trades. Other than the trading ships (which are slightly seen on the far left) the painting mainly depicts the Venice’s iconic boats, the Gondolas, leaving the dockyard. It is depicted middle with darker colors. Those are the main links to sail around the city as the City of Water has canals instead of streets.
