This oil-on-canvas painting shows one of those days. Artist Fausto Zonaro was born in Masi, which was in Austrian Empire, in 1854. After plague stopped the church was built and was called as II Redentore. From that time, festival of Redentore began to give thanks for the end of the terrible plague.
